Durant, 68, will be 2 p.m.
Monday, October 20, 2008,
at Mars Hill Baptist Church
with the Rev. Levi Lyles officiating.
Burial will be in
Eden Hills Cemetery in
Anniston with Anniston
Funeral Services in charge.
The body will be at the
church one hour prior to
services. The family will receive
friends this evening
from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral
home.
Mrs. Durant died Monday,
October 13, 2008, at
Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include, her
children, Willie Hogan,
Rev. Frederick Durant
(Cynthia), Winifred Renee
Durant all of Anniston; Tamiko
Russell (Patrick) of
Englewood, CO; Sonteka
Marie Durant, Sadie (Howard)
Clark, Doris Burkhalter,
Irene (Johna) Pace,
Mary (Rev. Elliot) Boler,
Cynthia Kemp, Bonnie
Kirkland, Willie (Kesha)
Durant, Freddie Lee (Liz)
Durant, Doc Lucis, and
Sammy Durant, special sisters;
Jewell Jackson, Mary
Calhoun, Betty Ball, aunt
and uncle, Fred Hanible
and Viola Bishop, special
caregiver; Reginald Dale
Lindsey, Sr. and a host of
grandchildren and greatgrandchildren
and greatgreat-
grandchildren.
Mrs. Durant was a Hale
County and Tuscaloosa native
and a faithful member
of Mars Hill Baptist
Church and served in the
choir where they recorded
“I feel the Holy Spirit.”
Mrs. Durant was preceded
in death by her father;
Willie Hogan, mother;
Pearl Evans, husband, Rev.
Freddie B. Durant, daughters;
Cecilia Durant, Deanna
Turnipseed, son; Alfred
Durant, Jimmy Durant,
and John Henry Clay.
